Day 22: My sibling

I only have a younger brother. A teenager now, but definitely would love it if he was still my baby brother.
My brother was born when I was in the first grade. I was super excited about having a baby brother. I told practically everyone I knew in school about him. He was small but definitely had a pair of strong lungs, his cries were LOUD. Despite that, having a little brother was an amazing brand new experience for the 6-7-year-old me.

When he started babbling and walking, he was the CUTEST! Sometimes I dressed him in my clothes because he looked cute with oversized clothes. He liked to follow around our father when he was doing his experiment, dragging our little rattan chair to sit and observe our father. When he was in the mood, he would allow me to record him using the phone camera. Sometimes he would end up pouting if I keep taking photos or record when he already gave some signs of resistance (read: aggressive babbling).

In primary school, he took interests in robots. Parents supported him by enrolling him in robotics classes for kids, they used legos! And as he got his first laptop, he also started taking interests in 3D-modelling and programming. All these still go on until now, he is a part of the robotics club in his school. It feels good to know that he already figures out his path so early on.

My little brother is no longer a baby, he's more independent than I was at the same age. I just hope that he can actually pursue and achieve his dreams in the future (despairing over not getting into wanted major should stop with me in this family). I also hope that he can be a more compassionate and a little gentler person. With that, I hope he can walk on flower road for the rest of his life just like now.
