Day 16: What do I collect?

Will you fancy reading a more straightforward answer? Or maybe something else spiced with feelings?
Let's start with the more "normal" one. I collected postcards for fun up until I was 15 years old (?). I can't recall how it started, but it definitely started when I started going out with friends to the mall. Every time I went, I would buy one from a small bookstore. Then, I also bought some when I went on a student exchange to Singapore. The most part of the collection, however, came from when my family went to Bali. It was a trip to celebrate my graduation from primary school, so my mom agreed to buy me a stack of postcards. That stack, if I remember correctly, was actually cheaper than some of the previous postcards I bought. This collection stopped growing as soon as I attended school in Singapore, though. Having said that, I still love the idea of writing and sending letters. There's a charm in putting lots of thoughts into a letter. There's also that beautiful excitement in waiting for a reply. It is a good form of break in this fast-paced era.
On that note, I guess you can tell that I'm a sentimental person. So, I'd like to say that I collect memories. I'm the type of person who likes to enjoy the moment. That is also why I don't end up taking photos of everything. I soak up the atmosphere and the experience, committing them into my memory. That is also why, if you see my Instagram, they are haphazard. They are not the prettiest feed, but they contain the essential moments, those that I want to remember. They may not be the best photos, but they are sincerely chosen to remember. That being the case, I'm suddenly reminded how I post much less often than a few years ago. Is it I'm just being lazy or is it I don't find the things I do now not as worth remembering? Anyways, despite my disposition, I'd definitely love to make even more memories in the future.
