Day 4 : My middle name and how I feel about it

Just got feedback for my thesis. There are a lot and the deadline is drawing near. I'm pretty stressed and hopefully blogging will help me let out some steam.

As an answer to today's topic: No, I don't have any middle name. But I can still tell you a thing or two about my name!

I've never really asked my parents what's the meaning of my name. But they did say they added an 'r' so that it becomes less common. With that being said, a simple google search said that it means "life". I believe my parents chose that name with the greatest intentions, for that I am grateful.

My last name is a combination of a Greek goddess name and a little something to make it sound more Indonesian. Once, a few of my seniors, who were avid fans of the Percy Jackson franchise asked me about it. I guess, not only is it a good name, but it is also a good conversation starter with Greek myth enthusiasts!

Now, I've never really complained about my name until I had to step out of Indonesian grounds. But English speakers keep butchering my full first name :( Vita used to be reserved only for those who I considered close, but due to the demands of globalisation I usually introduce myself as simply "Vita" when I encounter foreigners. This fact also becomes an inspiration for the name of my other blog. So, I guess everything is beautiful in its time :)
