Day 20: If I could invite any 10 people to a dinner, who would those be?

I thought long and hard about this. I mean, the possibilities are endless!
At first, I thought I should invite Jesus and Lucifer and their friends. But I think the dinner wouldn't be pleasant with all the tension in the room and I don't really know what I want to ask them either. So, nope.

Then, I thought about the more traditional route. Family. By the time I was born, I only had one remaining grandparent - grandma from my mother's side. And a few years ago, she left this world for good.

So, given the chance to invite anyone to dinner, I would definitely invite all 4 grandparents of mine. It would be nice to get to know them because I never got the chance to. It would be interesting to see the chemistry between the in-laws who never met as well. I'm also curious about how the couples treat their respective partner. From what I've heard from my parents, their parents' dynamic was very different. Maybe from seeing that, I can also understand better the upbringing of my parents and thus why they do certain things.

Of course, then, I should invite my parents too! It would be nice for them to see their own parents one more time. My dad lost his mother pretty early in his life, so I guess it would be a very good experience being able to see her again. Also, I would invite my little brother. While I still got to interact quite a lot with our grandma, by the time my brother can make decent conversation, my grandma's condition had deteriorated.

This means that I still have 3 slots left! I think I would invite my aunt's family (my mom's older sister). They are rather in a pinch right now, I hope some conversations with and comfort from parents would bring them a little more peace.

And that's the 10 people I would invite for dinner! Rather boring, I know. But given the circumstances and the rare opportunity, this is probably the best choice I have. For me, dinner time is about togetherness and heavy conversation does not really have a place at the dinner table. That's why a family dinner would be nice!
