Where and when did it all go wrong?

Hi! It's been quite a while and I hope life is treating you well. I know there are only two people who consistently read this blog, so let me write this one as if I'm talking to you two.

To be honest, April was not that good to me. I was about to unload and write last week but decided against it because of time constraints and, well, I was sick. So, I'm here today with a clearer headspace so (hopefully) I can see things more objectively.

Happy Ending

I love movies/dramas with happy endings.

Happy ending, to me, means the lost get found, or it is at least hinted that the main characters' relationship works out, perhaps even where the superhero managed to save the day (albeit the great damage the city suffers). I used to ask myself "when will I get my own happy ending?". But the more I think about it, isn't this happy ending we've been imagining just means a start to yet another chapter?

인생의 조각들

I made a "new" blog! Basically, it will contain a Korean translation of new blog posts from here. It definitely won't be a direct translation because Korean is still hard for me. But, if you're interested in learning Korean with me, or just curious about my Korean skills, or even want to check and help me improve please visit this link.

Thank you 😊

2021

The thing that must not be named is here longer than it is welcome. For that, I thought I wouldn't have much to write for a look back on 2021. Unexpectedly the year gave me a lot of time to think amid all the tedium, and so here we are again.

25 - An ongoing quarter life crisis?

Weeee, another milestone this year. I'm now officially a quarter century! This is also the second (and hopefully the last) birthday during the pandemic. Anyways, let's get onto the post.

This blog is 10 years old!

Wow, how time flies! Never thought something I started as a 15-year-old will still survive after 10 years, but here we are.

This blog started as somewhat a desperate effort to improve my English just a few months shy of my departure to Singapore. At that time, a land of the unknown. Then, without realizing it, Singapore became a home and soon the blog evolved from a collection of attempts at essays to a personal diary. After a few years, I had to come back home for good. I guess, my writings start to be bleaker (?) because I felt like I under-achieved and what-not. But one thing remains the same, this blog is a place of comfort for me (and a silent witness to my English prowess progress and regress).

With 10 years under its belt, this blog has been together with me through many recorded and unrecorded moments. It's only appropriate to celebrate by recalling the decade through song, in true puzzle-of-the-life fashion.
