As you all know, I have come to like BTS for quite some time now. While the fandom is in a somehow celebratory mood after their first wins and their 700 days celebration, we can't really enjoy ourselves because some problems like the alleged saejaegi (a lot of K-netizens demand for the buyers' receipts but seriously, who keeps their receipts? -.-) and the 'Loser' incident. Reading various articles about all these unnecessary got me thinking about the cost for fame.
Many people yearn for the lives that celebrities have. Luxurious and glamorous life. Red carpet events at least once a year. Wow, doesn't that sound awesome? But fame is not all about the good things. By becoming famous, those celebrities have laid down their private life to be put under the scrutiny of the mass. No mistakes should be made. A little trip may ruin their career. They have to be careful anywhere and anytime they go.
The thing is, their current success was not attained with just a clap. Pretty face is not enough to climb the ladder of success. Long hours of training, lack of sleep, strict diet. They have to face all that before finally they can at least debut. The way to the top is grueling, but losing that position just takes one single mistake.
While such incidents help them grow as an artist, I really hope that (K-)netizens cut them some slack. It's really heartbreaking seeing them acting very strained. They can't let go and be themselves even when they're supposedly in a celebratory mood. And for BTS, or any other groups, if you ever stumble upon this post, learn from your mistake and continue with your life happily. Haters gonna hate, but you can just shake it off :)
