All Grown Up :)

My favorite cousin is only a year older than me. We technically grew up together, as in we face the same challenges and changes in life at around the same time. When we were very very young, we were quite inseparable. Our other cousins even shipped us (ship as in like those pairing kind of thing) -.-
Despite being inseparable for around the first 7 years of our lives, we kinda drifted apart during our primary school and junior high years. You know, we have our own bunch of friends and stuffs to do. The fact that we weren't in the same school did not help at all either. But, things change again after I went to Singapore to study. We kinda started talking comfortably to each other again when I came home for holiday :)

Anyways, my cousin really knows some deep stuffs, aside from all the computer stuffs that he likes. Yesterday, we were talking about the upcoming Indonesia presidential election. Then, somehow this topic ends by me saying that there's no perfect country anyway. In one way or another, my cousin started talking about how perfect people don't exist. He went on telling me that he won't try to find a perfect girl for him because 'if the world is perfect, there won't be love in this world anymore'. This really really deep statement from him is true, I think. If everyone is perfect, then we won't need each other. Everyone can just be a very successful and independent individuals that don't require help from others.

You know, talking about this kind of stuffs really reminded me how much we've grown up over the years. In the past, all we thought about was toy cars, dolls, or anything fun. Now, we're more aware of the world and our surroundings. At this age, we also think a lot about our future. What I want to be in the future? Will I be happy? Will I even find a life partner? These little things actually just shows that we're not kids anymore. We are all grown up! There are more things to worry about.

But then, being 'all grown up' doesn't mean all the extra burden and no fun at all. Being older means that we have more opportunities to do different things.  Nevertheless, we must also always remember this quote from Spiderman, 'with great power, comes great responsibility'. So yeah, make your choices wisely :)

Btw, here is a nice song about first love. I think first love is one of the things that growing up brings to you. So, might as well enjoy this song to reflect on our 'first love' :)
