If I Die Young

I've heard about more than 7 deaths this past 4 months. I knew most of them, I knew the rest by reading news about them. What makes all these deaths scary is that these deaths are not expected at all. Some died in their sleep, some suddenly collapsed when they were doing their usual routine.

How would you feel when people that you knew suddenly taken by the angel of death in a blink of an eye? What would you do when you are facing the same situation? 


I came to think about how they lead their life. Have they enjoyed their life to the fullest? Going through one second of life means that we are on second nearer to our end. I'm not telling you this to scare you or something, I want to say that we just have to enjoy our life and cherish every moment while we can because life is short and we'll never know when we will have our eternal rest. I know it isn't easy to just 'enjoy life and cherish every moment'. I am a grumpy girl, I am not at all doing those! But, there is one thing for sure. I'm gonna try to be a positive person and see everything from the good light. 

But then, what happens if we die young, before we are able to achieve our dreams? Does it mean that we die before we even know what real life is? Well, not really. Living a full life does not necessarily mean that we have fulfilled all our wishes and aspirations, it simply means that we have put our passion into everything that we do! 

Anyways, the song 'If I Die Young' by The Band Perry is a very nice song which talks about what the singer would want for her funeral should she die young. It also states the irony of life: your ideas and thoughts 'worth so much more after I'm (or in this case, we're) a goner'. And it is 'funny, when you're dead people start to listen'. 

Just because I mention all this, it does not mean that I want to die soon! I still want to live and spend more time with my family.
