Another year has come and gone again. I can't believe that I'm already 22! As always, there are some regretful moments and of course happy moments as a 21 year old. I'm grateful that I can end  And, though not much, I feel like I have grown a little as a person. 

As always, I'd like to post something everytime this special day comes around. This time I'd like to breakdown the anthem of 22 year olds, Taylor Swift's '22', and see how much I can relate it to my current life. As to make this not loo lengthy, I will only do the first verse and the chorus.

It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters

Hipsters nowadays actually look pretty good! I'd like to try dressing up like hipsters rather than my usual day to day clothing. Though the problem is, there is no party around here. 

And make fun of our exes, uh uh uh uh

Nope, not about exes. Mainly because I still have 0 experience in dating and I feel like talking about crushes and eye candy is a lot more fun :)

It feels like a perfect night for breakfast at midnight

Any time is perfect for breakfast! Especially when it's the sinful combination of pancakes, bacon and egg. 

To fall in love with strangers uh uh uh uh

Nope, not a chance. I find it hart to fall in love even with people I know, what more a stranger. 

Yeah, we're happy free confused and lonely at the same time

That's true. Really true, this applies especially well to my class though none of them are 22. We're somewhat happy most of the times (forgetting the impending future), confused of what we will become, but at the same probably lonely because of the lack of love interest. 

It's miserable and magical oh yeah

What better way to describe the situation. 

Tonight's the night when we forget about the deadlines, it's time uh oh

While I'd love to forget about the deadlines, midterms is literally 2 days away!

I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22

If she relates being 22 and having fun, I'm all about it. But I feel like I still have a lot of fun quota left for the year. Too many exams and assignments! I thought I would have graduated by the time I'm 22, but the fact is that assumption is wrong. So no extreme fun in the near future.

I don't think I'm an interesting enough person to elicit the desire to know me better at first sight. But I'll be grateful if anyone thinks that way, I guess.

Yeah, I do hope everything will be alright this coming year. There are so many big things will happen in the campus!

So, that was it. To end of, I'd like to say some of my hopes and wished this year. I hope to enjoy my 22 year old days and eventually find my passion and life calling. I also hope to be a more content person, not expecting too much from anything and anyone. That's all this time. Thank you for reading and let's enjoy this anthem while we can :)
